Legal support for business

Legal support for business means having a lawyer who knows your company and handles its day-to-day legal work: contracts, inspections, corporate decisions and claims. We support LLCs and FOPs (sole proprietors) on a monthly retainer or take on one-off tasks, with accountants and tax advisors on the same team.

We work in Kyiv and across Ukraine, remotely under a power of attorney.

What legal support for business includes

Our legal support covers the issues a company in Ukraine deals with every month. It is built for foreign founders and companies with foreign capital as much as for local businesses.

Contracts in English or bilingual

We draft and review contracts, including English and bilingual versions. We also join negotiations, respond to the other side’s redlines and attend meetings.

Tax and labor inspections

We prepare documents for State Tax Service and State Labor Service inspections, support you during the inspection and review the report.

Corporate decisions

Shareholder resolutions, director changes and charter amendments. We prepare the documents for updating the state register of companies.

Employment documents

Employment contracts, orders and internal policies that meet Ukrainian labor law and hold up under inspection.

Claims

We send claims to debtors and respond to claims against you, aiming to settle before court.

Here is what having lawyers and accountants on one team looks like in practice. When you hire a Ukrainian contractor registered as a FOP, our lawyer drafts the contract. Our accountant checks that it does not look like disguised employment, which tax inspectors look for. Learn more about our contract drafting and review.

Common issues we find when we take on a new client

  • →A contract with a FOP contractor sets working hours, a job title and reporting lines, which are signs of employment.
  • →Acceptance certificates do not describe the work done, so expenses are hard to defend during a tax inspection.
  • →A bilingual contract does not say which language prevails if the versions differ.
  • →An employee started work before the employment contract was signed and the tax office was notified.

These are easier to fix before an inspection or a dispute. That is why your lawyer reviews key contracts and employment documents at the start.

Monthly retainer or one-off tasks

A monthly retainer suits companies with legal questions every month. One-off tasks suit a single deal, inspection or dispute.

Monthly retainer

A monthly package of tasks and advice. Your lawyer knows your charter, key contracts and counterparties.

One-off task

A contract, a corporate change or a response to a claim. We agree on scope and fee before we start.

One-time consultation

One question, one clear answer. Useful before you sign or when you need to understand your risks.

Outsourced legal services or an in-house lawyer

An outsourced lawyer costs less when you have less than a full-time workload. An in-house lawyer makes sense when contracts and disputes keep one person busy every day.

What is not included

Court representation is not part of our legal support. Partner attorneys handle court cases, while our lawyers prepare the legal position, documents and evidence. We do not promise outcomes that depend on a court or a government agency. Notary services and government fees are paid separately. If a dispute has already started, see our business dispute resolution services.

FAQ

What does ongoing legal support include?

It is ongoing legal help for your company. Your lawyer drafts and reviews contracts, prepares corporate decisions, supports tax and labor inspections and handles claims. Because the lawyer knows your business, the advice reflects your actual deals and risks rather than general rules. You can choose a monthly retainer or engage us task by task, and switch formats as your needs change.

Do you work with foreign-owned companies?

Yes. We work with foreign founders and companies with foreign capital. We draft contracts in English or in two languages, prepare corporate decisions involving non-resident shareholders and work remotely under a power of attorney. Our accountants also speak English, so you can get legal and accounting answers from one team without a translator.

Can I combine legal support with bookkeeping?

Yes, and this is what sets us apart. Lawyers, accountants and tax advisors work on one team, so each contract is checked for tax impact and each deal is recorded correctly. You do not have to pass documents between separate providers. See our bookkeeping services.

What does the lawyer review first?

Your charter, current contracts with key counterparties and employment documents. From these, the lawyer spots risks that already exist, such as contractor agreements that look like employment, acceptance certificates without a description of the work, or bilingual contracts that do not say which version prevails. You hear what to fix right away.

Can I book a one-time consultation?

Yes. A one-time consultation works well when you want to check a decision before signing or understand the risks of a specific situation. You do not need a monthly retainer for it. If the consultation leads to a task, such as a contract or a corporate change, we quote it separately before we start.
